Saturday September 25th, 2021, mincine?, 846 Texas Ave, hosts southern transplant/west coast native, Damon Smith (St Louis, MO), contrabassist, and master improviser who has played/recorded with both European and American greats such as Alvin Fielder, Joelle Léandre, and Peter Kowald, comes to Shreveport bringing a special deluge of Fluxus scores written by the under recognized American Avant Garde pioneer Benjamin Patterson. The first score to be performed “Variations for Double Bass” will be executed with Patterson’s original props from the 60’s.. second set of scores, including “Pond”, and “Paper Piece” will be performed with audience participation and exuberance. Five years of collaborative works by Isabella Anais Sisk-Gonzales and Dennis Gonzalez. The works of this Granddaughter/Grandfather duo will be on exhibit inside the minicine? gallery and MASKS ARE REQUIRED! Because of the growing numbers of Delta, small groups of people will be able to see the exhibit on a rotating basis through the evening.
